It is essential to complete an A1 category course before you can obtain your license. It is not the only requirement. You must also pass the practical test.

Practical lessons

The A1 course is designed to prepare students for the motorcycle test. This course is for students who wish to ride a moped or a small motorbike with a power range of up to 125cc. Students who want to pass the test must have completed at minimum nine hours of training under the supervision of an instructor.

The practical lessons in the course for category A1 are divided into various sections. The first section consists of a theory lesson about the basic rules for driving. The next part is a road lesson where the student will practice the techniques that will be tested in the Mod 1 test. The final lesson is an examination that lasts around 15 minutes. During the test students will be asked to perform a variety of maneuvers on Federal or country roads.
